Condo and Townhome Movers in Fort McMurray
Condos and townhomes come with their own moving challenges: elevator bookings, building move rules, shared parking, tight stairwells and multi-level floor plans. Noah Moving & Cleaning helps owners and renters move into and out of condos and townhomes across Fort McMurray with a crew that plans around your building, protects shared spaces and keeps moving day organized.
Why Condo and Townhome Moves Need Extra Planning
A condo or townhome move is not the same as moving out of a detached house. In a condo building, your move usually has to fit around a reserved elevator time, a loading area and rules set by the condo corporation or property manager. In a townhome, the challenge is often inside the unit: narrow staircases between three levels, tight turns at landings, and limited parking for the truck in a shared complex.
Our movers plan for these details before moving day. We ask about your building, access points, stairs and parking so the right crew size, equipment and timing are in place, and your move fits inside the window your building allows.
Our Condo and Townhome Moving Services
We can handle the whole move or just the parts you need help with:
- Moving planning: we confirm your elevator booking time, loading area, parking and any building requirements with you ahead of time.
- Packing and unpacking: careful packing of dishes, décor, closets and storage rooms, and unpacking at your new home.
- Furniture protection: blankets and wrapping for sofas, mattresses, dressers and tables, so they pass through hallways, doors and elevators without damage.
- Furniture moving, disassembly and reassembly: beds, sectionals and large pieces taken apart where needed to fit stairwells and elevators.
- Loading and unloading: efficient loading so the truck spends less time in a shared loading zone or visitor parking.
- Moving and cleaning together: move-out or move-in cleaning booked with your move.
Working Around Condo Rules and Elevator Bookings
Many condo buildings set rules for moves, and these vary from building to building. Before you book your movers, check with your property manager or condo board about:
- Whether the elevator must be reserved, and the hours moves are allowed
- Elevator padding or wall protection requirements
- Where the moving truck can park and which entrance to use
- Any move-in or move-out forms, deposits or fees set by the building
- Rules for the new building if you are moving condo to condo
Share these details with us when you book. We schedule the crew around your reserved time, keep hallways and lobbies clear, and protect shared areas while we work, so your move stays on good terms with your building and neighbours.
Moving Into or Out of a Townhome
Townhomes often have more space than a condo, spread over two or three floors. That means more stairs, more turns and usually a basement or garage full of storage. Our crew handles:
- Heavy furniture on narrow or steep staircases
- Bedroom sets and mattresses from upper floors
- Basement storage, garage items and seasonal gear
- Shared driveways and visitor parking in townhome complexes
- Snow and ice at entrances during Fort McMurray winters
Whether you are moving from a townhome into a house, downsizing into a condo, or moving between units in the same complex, we plan the order of loading and unloading so each room is set up in the right place at your new home. What Affects the Cost of a Condo or Townhome Move
We do not list fixed prices, because every condo and townhome move is different. The cost depends on factors such as:
- The size of your unit and how much you are moving
- Floor level, elevator access and the number of stairs at each address
- Distance between the old and new home
- Your moving date and the time window your building allows
- Whether you add packing, unpacking or cleaning
Tell us about both properties and we will give you a free quote based on your actual move.
